Privacy information

1) Introduction and controller

Franz Huisgen GmbH & Co. KG, Bahnhofstrasse 51, 47829 Krefeld, Germany, telephone +49 2151 456780, fax +49 2151 45678 29, email info@huisgen.de, is the controller responsible for processing personal data on this website within the meaning of the GDPR.

2) Data collected when visiting our website

When you use the website for information only, the server processes data transmitted by your browser, including the requested page, date and time, data volume, referrer, browser, operating system and IP address. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for the stability, security and functionality of the website. The website uses SSL/TLS encryption.

3) Hosting and content delivery

We use a provider that supplies its services, itself or through selected subcontractors, exclusively on servers within the European Union. Data collected on the website is processed on these servers. A data processing agreement has been concluded with the provider.

4) Cookies

Cookies may be used to provide website functions and store settings. Depending on their purpose, processing is based on performance of a contract, consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can restrict cookies in your browser; doing so may limit website functionality.

5) Contact

Personal data sent through the contact form or by email is processed solely to answer your enquiry and for the associated administration. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and, where the enquiry concerns a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Data is deleted after the matter has been resolved unless statutory retention duties apply.

6) Web analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 provided by Google Ireland Limited. Analytics is activated only after express consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Information, including a shortened IP address, may be processed by Google and transferred to Google LLC in the United States. The retention period configured for Analytics data is two months. Consent can be withdrawn through the cookie settings.

Depending on the enabled Analytics configuration, demographic features, Google Signals and User IDs may be used. These functions can provide aggregated demographic or cross-device statistics. Google Signals may consider personalised-ad settings associated with a Google account. User IDs may associate activity across devices only where an account exists on this website and the user is signed in. We receive statistics rather than directly identifying Google account data.

Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Further information is available in the Google Privacy Policy.

7) Website functionality

The directions page offers a Google Maps map provided by Google Ireland Limited. Activating the map can transfer usage data, including the IP address, to Google servers and potentially to Google LLC in the United States. Google may associate the data with a signed-in Google account and analyse it for its own purposes. Where legally required, processing is based on consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

8) Tools and other services

A cookie consent tool is used to obtain and store choices for cookies and services requiring consent. Such services are loaded only after the corresponding selection. The tool uses technically necessary storage for the selected preferences. Any processing required to operate the tool is based on Art. 6(1)(f) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

9) Data subject rights

Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, notification, data portability, withdrawal of consent and complaint to a supervisory authority. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons arising from your particular situation and may object to direct marketing at any time.

10) Storage period

Storage periods depend on the legal basis, purpose and applicable statutory retention duties. Data processed on the basis of consent is retained until consent is withdrawn, unless another legal basis applies. Data is otherwise deleted when it is no longer required for its purpose and no statutory retention duty or overriding legitimate interest requires continued storage.
